This strategic plan is the first of three UNFPA strategic plans leading to 2030. It describes the transformative results that will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and, in particular, to good health and well-being, the advancement of gender equality, and the empowerment of women and adolescent girls, with a focus on eradicating poverty.

It describes the transformative results that will contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and, in particular, to good health and well-being, the advancement of gender equality, and the empowerment of women and adolescent girls, with a focus on eradicating poverty. The strategies introduced in the strategic plan are evidence-based and take into account the lessons learned from previous plan cycles.
